Sheriff Tom Dart says that starting Thursday his office won’t take part in evictions.
Dart says he’s concerned that many of the people being evicted are renters who were unaware that their landlords have been failing to pay their mortgages.
This was reported in MSNBC.com.
Not an easy choice for Tom Dart to make, for his job may hang in the balance. The bottom line is the owners of the property did default on payments.
What is one to do with the families who have no where else to go?
Are these the the poisoned assets the $700 billion was earmarked for?
I would probably do the same as Tom Dart. There is a time that compassion takes a front seat over finances. Sure, someone will lose, but they lost anyway.
It will be difficult in the future to find Americans willing to kick out their fellow citizens from their homes and it will get to a point that those who try will meet with resistance from entire communities.
This is what experts warned would never happen again, and it is.

Thank you Mr. Dart, finally a Sheriff with a heart of gold and the strength that it takes to fight for those who cannot fight for themselves. I admire you to an extent that you could never know. I live in St. Louis, Mo. and saw you on CNN. I almost cried. You are one of my hero’s. Keep on fighting for the people Sir, your reward will be great in heaven.

Finally, a thinking man. Why aren’t more people thinking through a situation. Thank you for knowing and doing the right thing. We need more people who understand that the laws are to protect people.
