If Ghosts really exist, how do you know if you haven’t spoken to one?

In Faith, Life, Religion, Thoughts on December 2, 2008 at 3:07 am

Many people believe in ghosts.

They may not admit it in public as they are very protective of their status in the community, but they do believe.

That is why many people sleep with a light on at night, to keep the ghosts away.

My thinking is that if ghosts were real, they would not be solely relegated to the midnight shift.  My thinking is that they would be around all the time when they are not sleeping of course, assuming a ghost needs a little rest now and then, or has a ghost job to do.

If my theory is correct and ghosts do exist, then they may be walking and talking like the rest of us.

Maybe that’s what Caucasians are, ghosts.  They look ghostly.  I am a Caucasian but I am blessed with a good tan most of the time.

Maybe the fellow you were speaking to on the airplane is a ghost and you don’t know it.  Maybe you sleep with one?  Scary huh?

I suppose the only way you can tell is if they are always cold.

I really don’t know, do you?

  1. Do you ever try that cold air breath blow? You know, like on “The Sixth Sense”. Every time I feel a snotbubble coming on, instead of doing the all-American-wipe-on-the-sleeve, I blow because, you know, ghosts and all.

    And sure enough, there is always someone saying, “Would you wipe that thing. You’re dripping on the floor.” Granted that’s my son, but I thought an anecdote would befit your focus in here.

    BTW, nice blog. I may have to come back and then we can discuss link swap and such.

    Peace,
    HiScrivener

  2. Hi hiscrivener;

    I have to admit I never heard that one before :)

  3. I’m here to serve. Good times indeed. Keep doing what you do. I am feelin’ it in here.

    Peace

  4. What a worthless post. It lacks substance on almost all levels. Care to share your thoughts on why we cannot see air? Perhaps I can help with your explanation: We can’t see air because it is air. It would have been nice to come here and read something with a little more depth.

  5. Close the door on your way out

  6. I don’t believe in Ghosts but I wantcto ask what is the bibles view on Jinn or Genie?

  7. I’m undecided on ghosts. My mother witnessed one in broad daylight in her mother’s garden in the house where she’d grown up. Interestingly, she was about 50 at the time she saw it and it was th first time in her life. It was dressed as a turn of the century gardner and when she went indoors and described it to her mother, she just replied ‘oh yes, that’s him’. Her mother had seen it many times before. It would walk down the path and disapperar into some bushes. In the past the path was longer; the bushes were added later.

    She told us about other sightings too, quite matter-of-fact like and it leaves a big question mark for me to explain what they might be.

    A scientist I spoke to recently has a theory that they could be snippets of memory passed down through our genes like a clip being replayed.

    I’ve heard theories about a temporary window to a parallel universe.

    I have no idea.

  8. Back as promised. I’ll say it in front of the world. Even after having been subjected to those well intended, painful, and probably somewhere in there loving

    “Ummm……okay. Well……I believe that YOU believe that you saw a ghost…”

    comments from friends and family over the years; I’ve seen them. I’ve had numerous experiences. Mostly comical. Thank God. At all times of the day and night. It’s been a while. Goes in phases. Can’t really tell if your post is making fun, sincere, or just tossing it out there to see what gets reeled in…but I agree with the thought that we probably are interacting with all sorts of beings all the time. Alrighty then. I just put that out there. Ha! Reckon I better go fetch my freak hat and don it quietly in the corner.

    Have a Great One!!!

  9. Hi Forrester;

    I am of the opinion that life itself is much more than meets the eye.

    Although we may poke fun on occasion, to those who have experienced the impossible, who are we to say it isn’t?

    We are not in the other person’s shoes.

  10. Ah….poking fun is fine!!!

    I agree with your opinion that life itself is much more than meets the eye. Have always said my life is an acid trip without the acid. Either my brain is seriously tweaked or we are surrounded by outrageous beauty. I choose to believe the latter. Ha!

    Buenas Noches…..

  11. Hi Forrester;

    Life is a miracle unto itself. We are a part of it and do not have the capacity to understand the most basic of truths, that being we open our eyes every morning and have a day.

    I think that is great and I don’t think you you’re tweaked. :)

  12. I don’t know…that Medium show confuses me…it is supposed to be based on a real woman–so can she really do that?
