Dead Man’s Sperm

A judge ruled the mother of a recently killed twenty one year old man on life support may have his sperm collected in order to fulfill his wishes to have sons.

There are times that I think the medical profession has lost its marbles.

It reminds me of Elvis Presley’s death and the subsequent mourning of many people.  They say Elvis earned more money after his death than prior to it.

Elvis had his time on earth and when he was gone, a dead man’s voice filled the airways taking time from those entertainers still living.

The dead man’s children, if the sperm idea works, will be taking space on earth from children who were created in a natural fashion by a living mom and dad.

I would feel a little weird if I was walking around knowing my father died well before the time I was conceived.  I would be separate from the other “normal” kids if they found out.  They would consider me “different”, you know.

There are practical reasons other than the ones listed above.  Who pays child support?  Will the children be a ward of the state?

There is a nice saying for this, “let the dead bury the dead.”
