Smile and the world Smiles with you!

My friend LuRain Penny passed these pearls to me today.  The pearls are like a drop of water in a hot desert.

I smiled after reading this.  It is of love and experience.

My dear friend,

I hope you are well. I don’t know if you is a veteran but if you are, I thank you and all the others who gave of themselves for our common good.

My dear, the World has always been ugly. The Church had a booming black market on indulgences during the Plague Years of the Middle Ages – bartering folks last penny against eternal damnation. We just watched James Cagney in Public Enemy yesterday – that sure brought back memory – things was so dirty and rough then. I can still smell the beer in them galvenized buckets. Folks fell down starved in the street and ate critters you’d run from when they was alive.

In every epoch, in all parts of the Globe, each civilization has had its boom and denouement – all very messy, and violent.

I’m sure many a Roman patron found himself on the breadline post Visigoth.

Ain’t nothing been ever different – Human Beings are doomed repeaters.

This is our World but each perspective is individual and singular -reponsibile only for our own actions.

The way to alleviate fear and disillusion is to turn outward – make things feel better by the out pouring of your love and compassion.

No point in expecting reward or even acknowledgment – offer the Invisible Contribution.

Burdens is lifted when they are shared.

Buck up. lad

Smile and the world smiles with you!
Love,
LuRain
