“He doesn’t deserve any exemptions from the natural laws of human nature”

Words penned by sleepyeagle.

The words Sleepy Eagle wrote gave me pause for reflection and I thought about my life and the lives of others and the statement holds true to my experiences.

No one gets away with anything.

We may not go to jail.  People may not discover.  Somehow, someway, misdeeds always come back in one form or another to haunt.

That is how we learn.

Life itself can be a prison for those who transgress.  Paranoia and fear strike those who know in their hearts they have done wrong and realize the punishment is yet to come.

Remorse and regret helps, like getting an early release for good behavior, but the punishment still awaits.

We refer to it as “punishment” but in reality it is an awareness of the disturbance we created on a spiritual plane as it comes back to visit us.

  1. In the end there is Justice.

  2. I agree, Ichabod. This place, to me, is school. I feel like we are lovingly given as many chances to learn our lessons as need be…and when we cause harm to others I believe–regardless of what is done within our society about the matter–we will be “schooled” toward peace and growth on a far more profound level than society could ever provide anyway. May take a long, long time…but it’s the law of physics for God’s sake! The pendulum HAS to swing back the other way eventually…

    And there you go making me think again! :)

    Thank You!

  3. Hi Tinker Bell;

    Pendulums make great swings when you can’t figure out to do with them :)
