The Dimension of Laughter

In Faith, Inspiration, Life, Poems by Ichabod and Compadres, Politics, Religion, Thoughts on November 14, 2009 at 4:05 am

have you ever heard
someone laughing
and you caught it

they laughed
you giggled
they laughed

your tummy is sore
from
laughter

you can’t stop
you don’t even know
why you are laughing

other than hearing

the laughter
of another :)

  1. Yes it had happend sometime back ,,but don’t remember exactly when my tummy got sore out of laughter!

  2. Laughter comes easy to me. We were sitting around a campfire and started to laugh about something and the laughter would not, could not stop. Dying of laughter, going to the Emergency room, and saying, “I split my gut, from laughing too much.” Each idea was more absurd than the last. Tears in our eyes, idle threats to anyone that caused more mirth, bursting into more laughter

  3. The last time I was a part of this, a yoga teacher of mine, at the beginning of class, announced that we were going to be doing our usual practice, but we would be adding laughter. Now, this was an hour and fifteen minute class. She had us begin by forcing laughter. ‘No matter if it’s fake, just do it…pretend, Your body and spirit will believe it in no time and it will spread like wildfire.’ MY GOD! That was the most hysterical LONG block of time I’ve ever lived through. And I LAUGH easily and a lot!!!! We were dying! A room full of about 30 people holding yoga postures and laughing, laughing, laughing! Sitting here typing this, I’m doing it again. Laughter and Love have got to be twins!!!!

Huge Hugs to All of You and Thank You Sir Ichabod!!!

  4. Some of my favorite memories these, laughing with loved ones and friends until we are crying, a metaphor for life.
